Southern California native Robert at an early age was able
to delude his teachers in his extraordinary yet undeveloped talents. His fascination with how things worked and the unrealistic limits of the true nature of the mind allowed him to transcend into a fledgling artist.
A BFA in illustration from ArtCenter allowed him to smoothly transition into the professional design/advertising world with only minor bruising.
With influences of Robert Miles Runyan and Saul Bass, new tensions were crafted from both simple and complex meanings. Spatial forms became transformed through diligent and diverse practices.
Early years spent devouring the art of Calder and Von Dutch, Noguchi and Maloof, Rauschenberg and Warhol. Studying Frank Lloyd Wright and Leonardo da Vinci gave him a sense that creative thinking was in all and everywhere, but perfection was only a fleeting sense of chaos and the possibility of a new synthesis.
Many years spent honing his many interests awarded him with the ability to procrastinate in almost all corrupt visions of complex ideas. Falling back on logic and common sense, he was able to avoid true creative thinking and provide serious solutions to complex problems.
Currently recovering from the delusion of using creative means to influence people of how to improve their lifestyle, he now explores the relationship between the harmony of greed and the inaccuracies of our future.
